- When he was 17 he left his parents home after a fight, and went to live with his uncle, who was a private detective. He began working with his Uncle
- At 19 he left his Uncle and move out into his own flat, began work as a private detective
- At the age of 20 Fletcher took part in a very famous murder case, where he was stabbed in the shoulder. He took 2 weeks off to recover, and once he returned he caught the guy in two days. He says it was because he had the two weeks to think about the case, and if the guy really didn't want to be caught he should have actually killed him.
