THE TEMPLE GROUNDS this once majestic structure towers over the surrounding area, the glory of its columns, arches, stained glass, and ornate decoration remaining clear despite its deterioration over the years. The cracked holes from the ceiling caving in provide filtered, watery sunlight which illuminates the marble floors, which are often said to be the site of rendezvous between forbidden lovers. |
