these caverns make their way from deep underneath the jail to the coast line, but are extremely treacherous, full of dead ends and prone to cave ins, created long ago when the jail was a palace, and the caves were the monarch's secret escape route. it is said his bones are somewhere down there still, as he never emerged at the coast after the rebellion drove him underground.
