WORKERBEES
Oh you know the story- butchers, bakers, candlestick makers! All that lot is terribly important. Watchmakers, repairmen, gardeners and so on. Mapmakers, shop owners, bankers, scribes, investors, etc.

PIRATES
Oh, the life of a criminal- intriguing, no? But its so terribly not like the movies- not everyone gets to be captain. Or take regular showers. There are deck swabbies and look outs and cabin boys and so on- far less glamorous- and definitely hard to explain to mom.

AIRFORCE
Its called the Airforce, but its more reminiscent of the Navy. So, why call it an Airforce? Its aerial of course! These brave men (and ladies!) patrol the skies above the Undercity, drifting through the clouds and policing the Upper, working tirelessly to keep those pesky pirates at bay! Or, accepting bribes from said pirates. Because of course, there must always be a little bit of balance between "good" and "evil", right?

PEDDLERS
Generally nomadic in nature and Gyptian in race, these people travel far and wide in search of rare artifacts...or trinkets! Or, really, anything. Some are honest and some are not, and they come and go like the wind, without warning. They generally entice customers with exotic tales of strange and faraway lands.

GEARS
A sort of fond name for the many engineers that have popped up in the land since the revolutionizing of technology, Gears are the cleverest of clever, crafting fascinating contraptions, spending much of their time underneath airships or skybikes, covered in grease and oil and dust and grime and completely thrilled. Its not the life for everyone, but these ingenious inventors literally keep Avalon afloat- without them, the entirety of the Uppercity would come crashing down on the Underneath and the airships would fall from the sky. If anyone was necessary to the workings of Avalon, its them.



ARISTOCRACY
Not quite an occupation, but certainly a lifestyle. Yes, there are many noble families and high class families drifting about the upper city- some maintain their lifestyles with old family money, some use a combination of family money and trade or investments, some find other- less honest- ways of making money. Whatever the case may be, these dukes and duchesses, princess and princesses, lords and ladies exist only within the highest circles.
