Sub-boards: MAIL BOXES, DIARIES AND JOURNALS

home to all the wealthiest of the wealthy, the palace district is a network of aerial islands that are carefully protected, manicured, and exceedingly well taken care of. a few small cafes dot the streets, but it is mostly residential.

Sub-board: LITTLE LOTTIES CUPCAKES AND COFFEE

this library is the grandest in the kingdom, or any surrounding for that matter. it occupies an aerial island structure entirely its own, and is full to the brim of books. it has a giant atrium, many quiet window seats, and honestly is something of a small city all of itself.

Sub-board: THE SEVENTH FLOOR

this is the grandest of the piazzas, a wide open square with a beautiful fountain in the middle, depicting a mermaid on a rock, reaching for a star, which is made of shining gold and suspended via a combination of Gear science and elder magics in order to create an effect wherein it appears to hover in the air.

Sub-boards: THE CROSS CAFE, MASQUE OF THE RED DEATH

this once majestic temple and garden structure has fallen into abandoned disrepair. Registered as a city historical landmark, it has been allowed to grow to a state of tasteful chaos. This Garden is sustained by ancient Magics, and is built around a rock spire said to be the remains of a mountain, long since eroded and faded with time.

Sub-boards: THE SQUARE, THE TEMPLE GROUNDS, THE GARDENS

exactly as the name suggests, this tightly packed network of mostly-man-made-islands serves as a residential district, ranging from neighborhoods for the middle class, to what can only be classified as the slums.

located controversially in the underneath, this academy is devoted to the sciences and particularly to the advancement of technology on behalf of the Gears. this is the height of all young would-be-inventors aspirations, as it is the best school of its kind in the world, drawing all sorts. it accepts all races and people, as long as they pass the rigorous entrance examinations.

glimmering and crystal blue, these canals connect the many islands that comprise the Underneath. Gondoliers guide long boats through the narrow bands of water, cutting under bridges and around bustling city squares.

as the name suggests, blackwater is a dark and murky area, far from the center of town. its the seediest of seedy areas, and is home to all of the vices one could think of...and more.

Sub-boards: RAVING DESTINY, THE RAVEN'S ROOST, THE WIDOW'S KISS TAVERN

this looming island is set apart from the others, just south of Blackwater- and fittingly so. it is, of course, a jail- and full of criminals. of course, there is a rumored network of sewer tunnels and old submerged construction structures connected beneath the area which are rumored to connect to the beaches. of course, the tunnels are mazelike and treacherous, with constant caveins, so getting out is near impossible.

Sub-board: THE CAVERNS

on an island far off the coast, in a widely avoided stretch of sea known for its treacherous waters and nearconstant storms, there is a small but beautiful island, which is the secret city of the gyptian people- a home base of sorts, though it is such a well kept secret it is as good as uncharted, a secret so well kept it became legend.
